OSSINING, N.Y. – The Village of Ossining declared a Snow Emergency beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, and officials asked residents not to park or stop vehicles on dozens of village roads.
The declaration designates streets where vehicles cannot be left standing, stopped or parked. If they are are, the Police Department is authorized to ticket them or have them removed, according to a press release.
The declaration will remain in effect until further notice and will likely continue through the weekend, village officials said.
The following streets are affected:
- Broad Avenue South from South Highland Avenue to State Street
- Croton Avenue (both directions)
- Dale Avenue (both directions)
- Edward Street west from Broad Avenue to Washington Avenue
- Everett Avenue south from South Highland Avenue to Spring Street
- Ferris Place West
- Lafayette Avenue South from Spring Street to State Street
- Main Street (both directions)
- North Highland Avenue (both directions)
- Pleasantville Road (both directions)
- Secor Road (both directions)
- South Highland Avenue (both directions)
- Spring Street West
- State Street West
- William Street South from South Highland Avenue to State Street
