Ossining In The Dark On 'Between Two Ferns'

OSSINING, N.Y. -- While President Barack Obama's appearance on Funny or Die's "Between Two Ferns" with actor Zach Galifianakis has become a viral sensation, there's one group that hasn't caught on.

Members of the Ossining girls basketball team said they had not seen the video, which was posted to the comedy site Wednesday, as the girls prepared for their appearance in the state championships.

The appearance on the show was designed for Obama to make young people more aware of healthcare.gov website, which allows uninsured to get health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. One of the administration's goals with the Affordable Care Act is to get more young people insured.

On "Between Two Ferns," Galifianakis often insults his guests and asks off-putting or rude questions. When Obama wasn't plugging his health-care plan, Galifianakis asked him if pardoning a turkey was the highlight of 2013 and how it felt to be the last black president.

The video has generated more than 13 million views. Healthcare.gov generated a 40 percent increase in day to day traffic on Tuesday, with funnyordie being the #1 source of traffic.

The administration is hoping 7 million people sign up to get insured by March 31. At the end of February, more than 4 million people had signed up for insurance.
