- The Ossining Town Board does not support the "Payment in Lieu of Taxes" (PILOT) proposal put forward by the developer of Harbor Square.
- Luis Alomar, a fugitive suspected in a string of bank robberies along the Eastern Seaboard , including possibly in Westchester and Fairfield counties, was taken into custody in Medford, Long Island, N.Y., the FBI said.
- More than 300 people attended the 20th annual Westchester’s Community Christmas Day Dinner at St. Mary's School in Katonah.
- A 30-year Christmas Day tradition of Congregation Sons of Israel of Briarcliff Manor is continuing as they hold annual Christmas dinner at Ossining Presbyterian Church.
