Ossining Board To Discuss Proposed School Budget Wednesday

The meeting is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., at the Claremont School Cafeteria, 190 Croton Ave. The meeting agenda calls for recognitions prior to the work session. 

The work session will focus upon the following topics, according to the school district: 

• Ossining Open Door - Update. Ossining High School Principal Joshua Mandel will provide an update on the collaboration with the Ossining Open Door.
• Continued Budget Discussions - Update. Superintendent of Schools Raymond Sanchez will provide an update regarding his proposed budget for the 2014-2015 school year.
• Public hearing: Veterans Tax Exemption Due to a recent amendment to Section 458-a of the New York State Real Property Tax Law, the Board of Education will hold Public Hearings. Members of the community will be provided the opportunity to raise questions and/or comment regarding this topic. As part of the Public Hearings, Superintendent of Schools Raymond Sanchez and Assistant Superintendent for Business Alita Zuber will present an overview regarding the impact of this new legislation.
