The laws, which currently apply only to Greenburgh and Ossining, emerged late in the 2016 legislative session, according to lohud.com.

If the town boards in Greenburgh and Ossining adopt Cuomo’s legislation and the results are “workable,” similar laws could have a local impact in communities like Yonkers and Carmel, according to lohud.com, which reported the new laws in Greenburgh and Ossining do not impact owners of condominiums or commercial properties.
