OSSINING, N.Y. – The Ossining-based Maryknoll Sisters General Assembly will be held Sept. 7-21 in Woodcliff, N.J.
“Embrace the Dawn; Navigate the Shifts” will be the theme of the assembly, held once every six years to elect new leadership for the congregation.
The assembly will bring together 147 Maryknoll Sisters from 18 different countries, including the United States. The Sisters, who work in 24 different nations, will vote on new leadership and discuss other key issues related to the life and mission of Maryknoll Sisters.
Sister Ilia Delio is the keynote speaker.
Founded in 1912, Maryknoll Sisters is the first U.S.-based congregation of religious women dedicated to foreign mission.
