Man Dies, Woman Injured After Boat In New Croton Reservoir Capsizes

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man died and his female companion was hospitalized early Sunday morning when the rowboat they were in capsized at the New Croton Reservoir in New Castle, according to lohud.com.

The unidentified man, who was age 53, and the woman, also 53, were thrown into the water sometime between 3a.m. and 5 a.m., lohud reports.

An autopsy is being performed by the Westchester Medical Center and the incident is under investigation by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, which runs the reservoir that supplies water to New York City and is a popular spot for fishing, the report said.
