On Thursday, police issued an alert to the public about a black and white dog that got separated from its family near the Park Early Childhood Center and is currently being held at the Ossining Police Department.

“Based on his friendly disposition, and our stash of treats, your time to retrieve him will be limited before he becomes our official mascot,” the department joked on Facebook. “He’s a little hyper, but he’s fitting in just fine.

“In all seriousness, come get him before Dispatcher Sausedo and Officer Gallagher get us all in trouble.”

Anyone with information regarding the dog or its owners can contact police at (914) 941-4099.
