OSSINING, N.Y.-- An Ossining artist's latest work involves the queen of modern dance.

Mark Sadan, a photographer, producer and director, is presenting Midsummer Isadora at the Ossining Public Library on Oct. 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The exhibit, curated by Andrea Reda, features a large collection of more than 70 miniature prints captured from the rehearsal and performance of the Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company June 21 and 22 at the Old Westbury Gardens, Long Island, NY.

Isadora Duncan was an American dancer, who lived from 1877 to 1922 and is considered the creator of modern dance.

Sadan, who recently held a dance photo session at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Briarcliff, said he wants to reveal the spirit of Duncan found in the dancers in both color and black and white prints along with watercolors. Sadan will also be premiering a film, the Art of Isadora next February, highlighting a recent performance of the Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company at the Alvin Ailey Theater in New York.

"I've long admired the concept of miniature artwork," Sadan said. "It focuses the attention on the larger pictures."

Sadan, who has had three exhibits at the National Dance Museum and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs said he has enjoyed letting people know about the style and grace of Isadora Duncan.

"It's like Isadora is coming back to Westchester," Sadan said.
