'Food Chains' Documentary Screens At Ossining Library

OSSINING, N.Y. – The Ossining Library's Budarz Theatre will host a free screening of the documentary “Food Chains” on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The screening is part of the Ossining Documentary and Discussion Series, and there will be a post-screening Q&A session featuring four panelists connected with the subject of the documentary.

'Chains' is about the battle between the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a group of Florida farm workers, and the $4 trillion global supermarket industry.

The panelists are Gonzalo Martinez de Vedia of the Worker Justice Center of New York, farm owner Ken Migliorelli, Hilltop Hanover Farm worker Wilson Chang and Angel Morales from Ossining’s Open Door.

The event is free, and seating starts at 6:15.
