Lanes will be closed and shifted on the Sprain as the north- and south-bound bridge over Route 119 is demolished and replaced. Night work will be necessary for approximately two weeks in March for the bridge demolition, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

The bridge replacement is part of a $21.3 million federal- and state-funded project approved by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in September and is set to be completed by April 2015.

The replacement will add reinforcements and improve the bridge's foundation and pavement while the existing roadway and sidewalk widths on Route 119 are maintained. Construction will resume again in April to erect the new bridge beams, which will cause similar schedules of night work, according to NYSDOT.

The project is currently on schedule and still within budget constraints, according to NYSDOT. For more information, visit NYSDOT's website.
