OSSINING, N.Y. - Longtime Ossining resident Viola A. Williams died Dec. 12 at the age of 90. A funeral service will be held on Friday in Ossining.
Williams was born March 24, 1921 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. She worked as a private duty nurse's aide in Westchester and was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Ossining.
She is survived by her children Roy, Vinnel Gaynor, Derrick, Alvin, Nora, Carmen Beckford, Donald, Christine and Milton, 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Williams was predeceased by her husband Clifford in 2002, her daughter Venice in 2010 and two grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be take place on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. The funeral mass will commence at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church followed by interment at St. Augustine Cemetery.
