Temperature Ramps up for Ossining Skateboarders

OSSINING, N.Y. – With temperatures reaching into the mid-50s Thursday, hundreds of Ossining residents got outdoors to enjoy the day.

Ossining High School students Greg Jackson, 14, and Danny Ludlum, 15, said they were happy to get the warm weather on their winter break from school. The two students spent hours outside at the Skate Park in Ossining’s Snowden Park.

“We try to come out here whenever we can,” Greg said. “(The weather has) been really good this year.”

AJ Corrodus, 12, had no problem with the weather – or completing several tricks at the Skate Park.

“It’s a really good day to be out here,” he said, adding that he prefers the cooler weather. “As long as it’s not raining it’s good.”

Temperatures in Ossining are expected to drop and rain and snow combinations are expected overnight through Sunday. National Weather Service officials say there is a 100 percent chance of precipitation on Friday. Temperatures are expected to remain around the mid-40s through Monday.
