Ossining's Antonina Ciampa Honored Tuesday

OSSINING, N.Y. – Antonina Ciampa of Ossining died Jan. 21 at the age of 95.

Born in Italy on April 1, 1916, she was the daughter of Franco and Cristina Giampaoli.  Ciampa was a communicant of St. Ann Church. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, baking and cooking for family and friends.

She is survived by his daughter Agata (Antonio) Mosca, her son Angelo (Anna) Ciampa, four grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Ciampa is also survived by her sisters Rita (Pietro) Mosca of Montreal, Canada and Clementina (Angelo) Corrieri of L'Aquila, Italy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Vincenzo Ciampa, her brother Ercole Giampaoli and her sisters Domenica (Enrico) Mosca and Gina Giampaoli.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Ossining Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Ann Church in Ossining, followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
