To the editor:
We support County Legislator Catherine Borgia for re-election. As our representative in District 9, and the chair of the Board of Legislators Government Operations Committee, she has spent the past two years working diligently and fairly on a variety of issues that will improve her district and all of Westchester County.
Her committee passed out, with bipartisan support, more than 100 bills to improve infrastructure throughout Westchester. These improvements will account for over one billion dollars of work in our county creating jobs and improving our local infrastructure to remain strong and secure for future generations.
In addition, Catherine has been thorough in her review of major projects coming through her committee. Specifically, her committee led the review of Playland vendors to renovate the historic amusement park, cautiously interviewing each vendor to ensure that whichever vendor was chosen, the asset would be maintained for all of Westchester in the most cost effective manner possible. Instead of rushing the process, Catherine was deliberate and cautious, because making the right decision for Westchester is critical for Playland's future success.
Catherine’s devotion, patience, and leadership in the Westchester County Legislature has served us well these past two years. She has worked with colleagues from both political parties, making decisions that are in the best interests of the communities she represents.
Please join us in voting for Catherine Borgia on Nov. 5 so she may continue to represent us as our County Legislator.
