To the editor: You very likely receive many letters in support of candidates citing their accomplishments. Catherine Borgia has been engaged in government and has many such accomplishments and I am certain others will write about these. I wish to highlight different aspects of Catherine. In every situation, Catherine is willing to have conversations with others and she really listens to what she hears. She is ready to work with people of different opinions, whether they are within her party or not. After working with others and listening to others, she arrives at solutions or makes decisions that she feels are in the best interests of all. It is possible not every such decision will satisfy everyone 100 percent, but that is expected. Our society is founded on everyone working together, finding common ground for the benefit of all. Catherine has the qualities which embody: 1. wanting to do the right thing each and every time; 2. listening to and working with others of varying opinions to achieve this; 3. being inventive in order to find the best solution. In these tough times, I cannot think of more important qualities in any elected official than these which will serve us now and in our future. Sincerely, Terry D’Attore
