OSSINING, N.Y. - Steve Giordano, of Ossining, died Nov. 4 at the age of 93. The founder of Steve Giordano Builders, he worked as a land developer and home builder.
Giordano was born on May 23, 1918 in Ossining to Daniel and Amiela Giordano. He wed Margaret Biondi in 1942 and was married for 69 years. A World War II veteran, he carried on his father's profession to start the development business.
Giordano's son Mark carries on as head of the company. His greatest joy was attending the annual family reunion, where he'd celebrate life with his wife, children and extended family. The tradition will be carried on by his family in his honor. He is survived by his wife Margaret, his sons Stephen, Michael, Anthony and Mark, his brother Daniel, his sisters Ellen, Ruth and Nancy, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Leach & Thomas Funeral Home in Ossining. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ossining, followed by burial at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
