To the editor:

I am a 15-year-resident of Ossining, a parent of two young children, a youth sports coach and a very proud supporter of Dana Levenberg for Ossining Town Supervisor.

I became aware of Dana Levenberg during her tenure as an Ossining School Board Trustee, one of the most important positions that one could have in our community. She was elected three times and served in this capacity for nine years. Her even temperament and ability to work with others was tremendously visible as she was part of a team that guided the Ossining School District through some of the most difficult financial times in its history while staying within the tax cap. Most importantly, during this time Dana helped to maintain and, in many cases, increase the opportunities for excellence in our school district.

Dana Levenberg's dedication and commitment to all of Ossining’s residents could not be more evident, especially when you realize that while volunteering her time as a school board trustee and raising two children she also was the chief of staff for state Assemblywoman Sandy Galef. In her work and numerous volunteer commitments Dana has developed a very well-placed network of people, which is vital to moving a community forward. You cannot find a more prepared civil servant.

It is for these reasons that Dana Levenberg is ready to lead as Ossining Town Supervisor. Please join me in voting for Dana Levenberg on Nov. 3.
