“Congratulations to Fatima on her award and for the stunning image she captured depicting the Mid-Hudson Valley’s spectacular autumn colors,” said Denise VanBuren, vice president of public relations at Central Hudson.

The contest started Oct. 1 and invited Central Hudson customers to submit photographs of the region’s fall season, taken from within the utility’s service area by Nov. 2. More than 70 images were submitted, and 18 finalists were selected and posted to Central Hudson’s Facebook page. Voters were asked to “like” their favorite of the finalists, and official voting ended noon Wednesday.

“Thank you to all who participated by voting and submitting photos highlighting the beautiful autumn scenery of Mid-Hudson Valley region,” VanBuren said. “We are impressed with the incredibly strong selection of entries, and offer our appreciation to each of our contestants for sharing their photographs.”

VanBuren also reminded customers of the benefits of “liking” and “following” Central Hudson on Facebook and Twitter to receive important safety messages, energy-efficiency tips, announcements on new programs and services, updates on severe weather and other useful information.
