Ossining's Wobble Cafe Competes In DVlicious Restaurant Contest

OSSINING, N.Y. -- We get it. You like to eat. And you like to eat out. But dining with kids, especially young ones -- can sometimes get sticky -- in more ways than one. Kudos to the places that offer up pleasing menus for both adults and kids as well as surroundings that don’t feel like you’re dining at Mickey D’s.

Wobble Cafe, Ossining

Why It's Kid-Worthy: The aim to please. The cozy malt-shop-like environment, with a play area in the back and lots of walls decorated with kid-art, makes you feel like you're at a good friend's house who just happens to be a great cook. (The chef trained under Emeril Lagasse.) In other words, expect high quality food made with the best ingredients and menus that please both adult and kid-palettes (think panins, salads, and sandwiches along with mac & cheese and chicken fingers)

Most of all, Wobble "gets" kids. "We know all kids have a bad night now and then and here, no one even looks sideways," said Rich Krupp-Foshay who owns the eatery with his wife, Beylka. "Our staff and most customers are used to these sights and sounds and will usually offer to help rather than judge."
