Ossining Eateries Named To Best Of Westchester List

OSSINING, N.Y. - Two Ossining eateries were honored by Westchester Magazine's editors and readers in its annual "Best of Westchester" issue.

Ossining Bakery was selected by editors for "Best Donuts." The bakery, 50 N Highland Ave., was called unassuming by editors.

"But if you are walking past this diamond in the rough and the door should happen to open, you will stop dead in your tracks. It smells like the bakeries of your youth: buttery, yeasty, and sweet," the magazine's editors wrote. "And that’s exactly how the fresh and surprisingly light donuts taste, too. At $9 for a baker’s dozen, they are a steal."

Wobble Cafe was picked by Westchester Magazine readers as "Best Vegetarian Food." The restaurant is located at 21 Campwoods Road.
