The trio are in the village to shoot "Ten Thousand Saints," at a house on Maple Place and inside First Presbyterian Church on South Highland Avenue.

Production is expected to continue through Thursday. Steinfeld, who was nominated for an Oscar for "True Grit" said she had just arrived in Ossining.

"I am enjoying my time here," Steinfeld told Daily Voice.

Steinfeld also said she was enjoying working with Butterfield again. The two teamed up on "Ender's Game" which came out last year.

"Ten Thousand Saints"  is set in the 1980s and about a teenager from New England who moves to New York City to live with his father in the East Village, according to imdb.com. The film is adopted from a novel by Eleanor Henderson.

The film is directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, who directed "American Splendor" and "The Nanny Diaries."

Mayor Bill Hanauer was planning on stopping by the set Wednesday night and said it was great exposure for Ossining. He said people could look up to see where the movie was filmed and come to Ossining to have dinner.

"Any exposure is good exposure," Hanauer said.

"Our Idiot Brother" was the last major film to be shot in Ossining which has played host to "Analyze This," "Broken Flowers" and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps".

No release date has been announced for "Ten Thousand Saints."
