TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – More than 60 children's book authors and illustrators gathered in Tarrytown on Saturday at the former home of author Washington Irving as Sunnyside hosted its annual Children's Book Day.

Putnam County author Gail Carson Levine said Sunnyside's annual book fair is well known well beyond to local area. She met people from New Hampshire and Virginia on Saturday.

“I've come here for years, and generally it's a beautiful day,” she said. “It's nice to meet readers."
