Friday, Aug. 24

Computer Help : 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free drop-in help with computers. Residents can learn how to navigate web pages and create documents in Microsoft programs. For more information, contact Cheryl at 914-941-2416, Ext. 315. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Open Crafts Day at the Briarcliff Library: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to stop in anytime and make something creative with the materials provided. Children under age 6 must have an adult helper. Briarcliff Manor Public Library, 1 Library Road.

Waterfront Concert Series: 7 p.m. Free concert series is organized through the Waterfront Visioning Committee. Food vendors are expected on site for the concert. The lineup includes Teri Lamar & The New Company on Aug. 24, KJ Denhert on Aug. 25 and Mike and Miriam Risko on Aug. 31. Louis Engel Waterfront Park, Ossining.

Games at the Ossining Library: 3:30 to 5 p.m. Video and Board Games in the Budarz Theater. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Mural Painting at the Ossining Library: 1 to 4 p.m. Come to the Ossining Public Library and help create a mural on the walls of the Teen Meeting Room. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Saturday, Aug. 25

The Ossining Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Ossining Farmers Market is set to open for the 21st season at Spring Street and Main Street. Dozens of vendors from around the tri-state area will set up shop. The Farmers Market runs every Saturday through Dec. 15. Market Square, Market and Spring Streets.

Turtle Time at Teatown: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Come meet Teatown’s turtle ambassadors, and all that’s involved in proper turtle care from enclosure size, design, heat, lights, diet and more. Come with questions or curiosity. Free for members; $5 per person for non-members. Call 914-762-2912, Ext. 110 to make a reservation. Teatown Lake Reservation, Ossining.

Free Wine Tasting in Ossining: 5 to 9 p.m. Tasty Port Wine is hosting a free wine tasting event. The tasting includes two white wines and one red from the Esporao Estate. A wine specialist and special deals will also be offered. Tasty Port Wine, 127 Main St.

Scavengers and Decomposers at Teatown: 1 to 2 p.m. Meet a few of Teatown’s animal ambassadors in this program featuring local scavengers. Free for members; $5 per child for non-members. Call 914-762-2912, Ext. 110 to make a reservation. Teatown Lake Reservation, Ossining.

Isagenix Tasting in Briarcliff Manor: 2 p.m. Diahann Malcolm and Terri Roman are ready to help you reach your goals, whether it be weight loss, developing a leaner body, increasing your energy or simply feeling better.
