OSSINING, N.Y. – There’s no reason to leave the Ossining area this weekend if you’re looking for something to do. Here’s a list of weekend events in Ossining and Briarcliff Manor.


- Free drop-in help with computers at the Ossining Public Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, residents are asked to contact Cheryl at 941-2416 ext. 315.

Saturday - In-Store Chilean wine tasting from noon to 4 p.m. at My Sherry &more at 1245 Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor.  - The Ossining Public Library hosts a cultural drum session with Mickey Sevilla and John Grady starting at 2 p.m. No experience necessary, all ages welcome. Those looking for more information are asked to contact teen services at the library at 941-2416.  - The Ossining Public Library features a photography class from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. To register prior to the class, residents are asked to contact Director Jim Farrell at 941-2416 ext. 333.  - Exploring Excel for Beginners at 10:30 a.m. at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library. Residents are invited to learn the basics of how to set up a spreadsheet and track lists using Excel.


- Opening reception for the Cheever Centennial at the Ossining Public Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library’s new Cheever room. All are welcome to attend the opening reception.
