What to Do in Ossining This Weekend

OSSINING, N.Y. – There’s no reason to leave the Ossining area this weekend if you’re looking for something to do. Here’s a list of weekend events in Ossining and Briarcliff Manor.

Friday

- Free drop-in help with computers at the Ossining Public Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, residents are asked to contact Cheryl at 941-2416 ext. 315.

Saturday

- The Ossining Public Library features a photography class from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. To register prior to the class, residents are asked to contact Director Jim Farrell at 941-2416 ext. 333.

- The Briarcliff Manor Public Library presents the opening of the “Eyes of March: Visions of Spring Art Show” from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The show features work from members of the Ossining Arts Council. The opening reception, free to the public, takes place in the Briarcliff Library’s second floor. The show runs through March 31.

- The Ossining Public Library hosts “Jilanataka,” a concert featuring traditional and contemporary music of the Andes, starting at 3 p.m. at the Budarz Theater. Those looking for information about the show are asked to call the Ossining Library at 941-2416.

- Story time and crafts at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library. Event is for children ages 2 to 6 with a parent or guardian. Registration is recommended at 941-7072.

Sunday

- A free concert featuring Irish fiddle music from Brian Conway and Brendan Dolan at the Ossining Public Library’s Budarz Theater. Doors for the free concert are expected to open at 2:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
