Monday, Jan. 28

Open Houses St. Augustine School: 9 a.m. Guided tour of school, meet the faculty and staff, have refreshments and meet other St. Augustine school parents and students and alumni. Additional Open House: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Beginner/Intermediate Yoga: 7 p.m. Pre-registration is required through the Ossining Public Library. For more information and to register, call the Teen Room at 914-941-2416, ext. 336. This program is for teens and adults. Yoga is taught by trained yoga instructor Catherine Riedel. Free. Ossining Public Library, Budarz Theater.

Briarcliff Manor Board of Education Regular Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Education is set to talk about various items facing the district. The agenda is available on the district’s website. Briarcliff Middle School Theater, Briarcliff Manor.

Astorino Visits Ossining High School: 11:30 a.m. How to start a company, file tax returns, manage investments and even market a movie script are just some of the “real-life” skills that students are learning in Ossining High School’s business program. County Executive Robert P. Astorino will speak at an assembly at 11:30 a.m. at Ossining High School at 29 South Highland Ave., Ossining.

Smart Seniors Presentation: 3 p.m. Assistant Attorney General Gary Brown will be at the library to discuss how seniors can protect themselves from all kinds of theft. If you are a senior and are concerned about theft you don’t want to miss this free program. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

My First Book Club At Briarcliff Library: 5:15 p.m. Registration is required for this free event where children come together (over snacks) to discuss a different picture book and to do a related activity at each meeting.  Register for all four meeting dates.  Other dates: 5:15 to 6 p.m. Feb. 14, 28 and March 14.
