Friday, May 31

Meditation Class at Ossining Library: 4 p.m. This is a free class and is not a library sponsored program. A meditation technique named Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) will be presented, developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. For additional information, e-mail June at junesey2000@yahoo.com. The class is open to all and pre-registration is not required. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

“Honk Jr.” At Briarcliff Middle School: 7 p.m. The show is a retelling of the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale "The Ugly Duckling." The musical is set for performances throughout the weekend with shows at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $10 each.

Saturday, June 1

Spring Ossining Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Down to Earth Markets hosts the Ossining Farmers Market at the corner of Spring and Main Streets in downtown Ossining. The market will gather many of the vendors the Ossining community has come to love: Amazing Real Live Food Company, Baked by Susan, Bread Alone, Feather Ridge Farm, Gajeski Produce, Hudson River Apiaries, Meredith’s Country Bakery, Migliorelli Farm, The Pastures, Pickle Licious, Pika’s Farm Table, Pura-Vida Fisheries, and Tierra Farm.

Ossining 3D Sculpture Tour: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tours of the large-scale 25-piece outdoor sculpture exhibit begin at Washington School at 81 Croton Ave. The sculptures are in place through October and can be found around the Village’s historic downtown and waterfront areas. Exhibit and Tours are free. Washington School, 81 Croton Ave.

Ossining Yoga At The Library: 11 a.m. This program is open to both Teens and Adults. Please bring your own yoga mat and towel.  This program is open to the first 45 participants. For more information please contact the Teen Room at 914-941-2416 ext. 336. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

SPCA of Westchester Free Adoption Days: All day. The SPCA of Westchester in Briarcliff Manor will be waiving adoption fees on June 1 and 2 for any animal adopted out that came into the shelter as a local stray or owner surrender. The hope is to get as many homeless animals into forever homes this weekend. Any dog, cat or kitten adopted out during these two days will be free. Our Adoption Approval process however, will not change. SPCA of Westchester, 590 N. State Road, Briarcliff Manor.

Sunday, June 2

Ossining Boat and Canoe Club Breakfast: 8 a.m. The 15th Annual Donald “Hot Pie” Zerrilla Memorial Scholarship Fund Breakfast is organized by the Ossining Boat & Canoe Club. This year’s breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. All proceeds from the “Hot Pie” Breakfast go toward the Donald Zerrilla Memorial Scholarship Fund that is awarded to an Ossining High School student.

“Honk Jr.” At Briarcliff Middle School: 3 p.m. The show is a retelling of the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale "The Ugly Duckling." The musical is set for performances throughout the weekend with shows at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $10 each but some are still available for the family show at showtix4u.com.
