Friday, May 10
Meditation Class at Ossining Library: 4 p.m. This is a free class and is not a library sponsored program. A meditation technique named Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) will be presented, developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. For additional information, e-mail June at email@example.com. Teatown’s Plant Sale: 4 p.m. The plant sale features the unusual, the new and the tried and true. This year, the sale will take place on May 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. and May 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The group specializes in helping customers find plants that grow well in our area, and offer advice on their care and overall garden planning.

Briarcliff Manor Garden Club Plant Sale: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Briarcliff Manor Garden Club hosts its annual plant sale. The sale will include annuals, hanging baskets and Mother’s Day gifts. The sale continues rain or shine at the Wells Fargo Parking Lot at 1050 Pleasantville Road.
Riverkeeper Sweep: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 1,000 volunteers are set to clean up the Hudson River as a part of Ossining-based Rivekeeper’s second annual sweep set for May 11. The organization is set to continue the tradition at more than 70 locations along the Hudson River. Sites include Ossining's Sing Sing Kill and Lost Beach. The sweep will culminate with celebrations throughout the river towns.
Ossining Bicentennial Historic Houses Tour: Noon. A Victorian Era houses tour will start with a noon reception and sign-in at Mahopac National Bank, 2 Church St. in Ossining. The tour then proceeds to Ellis Place. The cost of the tour is $20 per person, plus $10 for an optional post-tour wine and cheese reception at one of the homes. Mahopac National Bank, 2 Church St.

Ossining Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Down to Earth Markets hosts the Ossining Farmers Market at the corner of Spring and Main Streets in downtown Ossining. The market will gather many of the vendors the Ossining community has come to love: Amazing Real Live Food Company, Baked by Susan, Bread Alone, Feather Ridge Farm, Gajeski Produce, Hudson River Apiaries, Meredith’s Country Bakery, Migliorelli Farm, The Pastures, Pickle Licious, Pika’s Farm Table, Pura-Vida Fisheries, and Tierra Farm. The winter market will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through May 18.
Mother’s Day Eve Yoga: 7 p.m. Come and enjoy a healing and rejuvenating yoga class at Josie’s. Bring yourself, your children (ages 8 and up only please), friend or co-worker. May Art Exhibit At Ossining Library: Library Hours. The Ossining School District’s Annual Art Show will take place from May 1 to 30 at the Ossining Public Library. This art exhibit includes students’ artwork from grades k-12. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.
