Friday, May 3

Meditation Class at Ossining Library: 4 p.m. This is a free class and is not a library sponsored program. A meditation technique named Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) will be presented, developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. For additional information, e-mail June at junesey2000@yahoo.com. The class is open to all and pre-registration is not required. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Saturday, May 4

SPCA of Westchester Walkathon And Pet Fair: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Westchester County’s largest pet-related event includes games, activities and crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights. Activities for families and pets will be held throughout the day at the park. FDR State Park, Yorktown Heights.

Beginner Yoga At Ossining Library: 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required for this free event. For more information and to register please contact the Teen Room at 914-941-2416 ext. 336. This program is for Teens and Adults. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket. Yoga is taught by trained yoga instructor Catherine Riedel. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave., Ossining.

Ossining Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Down to Earth Markets hosts the Ossining Farmers Market at the corner of Spring and Main Streets in downtown Ossining. The market will gather many of the vendors the Ossining community has come to love: Amazing Real Live Food Company, Baked by Susan, Bread Alone, Feather Ridge Farm, Gajeski Produce, Hudson River Apiaries, Meredith’s Country Bakery, Migliorelli Farm, The Pastures, Pickle Licious, Pika’s Farm Table, Pura-Vida Fisheries, and Tierra Farm. The market will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through May 18.

Sunday, May 5

Ossining 3D Sculptural Celebration: 3 p.m. The cornerstone of the “Ossining in 3D” celebration will be a large-scale, 25-piece outdoor sculpture exhibit with installations in place from May through October throughout the village’s historic buildings and downtown waterfront area. Celebrate the opening of the sculpture exhibit with a special meet-the-artist reception and enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a tour of the sculptures. Ossining Village Hall, 16 Croton Ave.
