Friday, Aug. 16

Ossining’s Bicentennial Movies Under the Stars.  9 p.m.  The Village of Ossining’s Bicentennial Celebration continues with a showing of the 1938 American gangster classic “Angels with Dirty Faces” on Ossining’s beautiful waterfront adjacent to where it was originally filmed, Sing Sing Prison. Picnics welcome; alcohol not permitted. Free.  Under the Guard Tower at Playground Area, Louis Engel Waterfront Park, Westerly Road.

Saturday, Aug. 17

Scavenger Hunt.  11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Scavengers are an important part of nature’s clean-up crew. Come meet a couple of Teatown’s animal scavengers. Free for members; $5 for nonmembers. Programs fill quickly so registration is strongly recommended. Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining.  

Ossining Farmers Market.  8:30 a.m.  Free.  Corner of Spring and Main streets, Ossining.
