Sharing Our Travels At Briarcliff Library: 10:15 a.m. The new arts program for adults 55+ at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library is "Sharing Our Travels: Bookmaking and Visual Journaling." Explore different methods to make your own books, altered books and visual journals on the theme of travel. Learn about design components (composition, balance, color, etc.) and experiment with different types of media, including collage, paint, and color pencil. Incorporate writing and even a sound recording to create a unique book reflecting on a powerful moment in your own life. Please commit to all eight sessions. Sessions are from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the following dates: Feb/ 5, 12, 14, 19, 26, 28, March 5 and 12. Registration is required. Space is limited. “Red Tails” at Ossining Library: 6:30 p.m. The film, "Red Tails" showcases a crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard. Open discussion will follow the film. This film is free and 125 minutes. Starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.
