Teatown Hosts Plant Sale Mother's Day Weekend

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Teatown Lake Reservation will hold its annual celebration of the planting season on May 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Teatown looks forward to this special event each year, marking the beginning of the planting season and filling our guests with the anticipation of flowers and vegetables in bloom all summer,” said Kevin Carter, Teatown’s executive director.

Teatown will offer free tours of Wildflower Island on May 9 starting at 9 a.m. and sell a few prized plants from the island. Perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables will be available for purchase, as well as deer repellent Garlic Clips.

Admission is $10 on May 8 and free on May 9. Parking is available in a new lot across the street from the Nature Center and overflow parking is on Blinn Road.
