Snowstorm Cancels Ossining Area Events

OSSINING, N.Y. – A storm that's expected to dump several inches of snow on Ossining has led to the cancellation of several weekend events.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Friday. At least one event, the Sleepy Hollow Winterfest, will take place even if it snows.

What's been canceled/rescheduled:

• The Ossining Public Library closed at noon Friday and is set to reopen at 1 p.m. Sunday. 
• The winter Farmers Market in Ossining on Saturday has been canceled. 
• The Ossining Union Free School District has canceled all evening activities. 
• EagleFest, Croton Point Park's largest winter event, has been rescheduled to Sunday.
