Monday, July 9

Rotary Club of Chappaqua meeting:  Noon. Crabtree's Kittle House, 11 Kittle Road.

Informal Writing Workshop: 7:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring short prose, poetry, ideas or simply a desire to write to an evening of supportive feedback with fellow writers. The workshop is led by Joan Schulman. The workshop is free and open to the public but registration is required. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

The Chappaqua Turf Committee: 7:30 p.m. TCTC will hold an informational meeting with the public to answer questions about its fund-raising efforts to bring a turf field to Horace Greeley High School. 70 Roaring Brook Road.

Tuesday, July 10

Family Game Night: 7 p.m. Chappaqua elementary school children and their parents are invited to play board games. Registration is necessary as space is limited. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Town Board meeting: 8:15 p.m. New Castle Town Hall, 200 S. Greeley Ave.

Wednesday, July 11

Stitch and Chat: 1 p.m. Join other needlework enthusiasts to exchange patterns, ideas and techniques. Chappaqua Library. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Sounds of Summer Concert: 7 p.m. Chappaqua kicks off its Sounds of Summer concert series with a performance from the Don DuPont Band. Residents are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the 200 S. Greeley Ave. recreation field to enjoy the music.

Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce: 7 p.m. The Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly meeting. Le Jardin du Roi, 95 King St.

Thursday, July 12

Mah Jongg Club: 7 p.m. The club is for players at all levels. Instruction, as well as coffee, tea and cookies will be provided. The library will provide cards but those attending are asked to bring boards, if possible. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Night Owls: 7 p.m. The Chappaqua Library will continue its summer tradition of Night Owls story times for children ages three to five with an adult. 195 S. Greeley Ave.
