Public Invited To Meet Ossining Library Director

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Board of Trustees of the Ossining Public Library will hold al “Meet & Greet” with the new library director, Karen LaRocca-Fels.

The first of two events will be held on Sunday from noon–2 p.m., and the second will be held on Thursday, Oct.15, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. 

Both will be in the Footnote Café’ on the lower level of the library. 

Light refreshments will be served.

“I am thrilled to have joined the team at the Ossining Public Library and welcome this opportunity to get to know our library patrons, our community leaders and the members of the Ossining community," LaRocca-Fels said. 

"I want to thank the Ossining Public Library’s Board of Trustees for organizing these events and for giving the community a chance to get to know their new library director. I am looking forward to working with the Ossining Public Library and the Ossining community," she said.

La Rocca-Fels was most recently the director of the Cornwall Public Library, having also worked at the Monroe Free Library in Monroe.

She was also assistant director and then director at the Kent Library in Kent Lake, and assistant director at the Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley.

The library is at 53 Croton Ave.
