Brooklyn Burglars Busted With Shopping Cart Full Of Items From Vacant Home

A pair of burglars were caught after pushing a shopping cart full of belongings out of a vacant Brooklyn home, authorities say.

A broken down car was just the beginning for a Capital Region man whose Christmas went from bad to worse and ended with him in handcuffs.

Brent Michael Kirby, 29, and Brandy Marie Ebert, 44, were busted after officers were tipped off to a burglary in progress in the unit block of Bon Air Avenue around 4 a.m., Friday, April 14.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the pair pushing a shopping cart full of belongings from the home, which was vacant but still contained the owner's property.

Both burglars provided fake names to police, who later learned that they both had warrants out for their arrest for previous offenses.

The pair was charged accordingly.
