Porta-Potty Burned to the Ground in Hastings

Vandalism has taken on a new meaning in Hastings recently with the destruction of a bizarre piece of equipment.

Last week  someone reported a Porta-Potty had been burned down on Broadway Street in the usually quiet village. The exact location of the incident is a construction site and the burned Porta-Potty was discovered by the super. To make matters worse, the site that contains the portable bathroom is fenced in and locked during the overnight hours, thus adding potential trespassing charges to any suspect. Hastings police patrols were dispatched and confirmed the damage. The portable toilets were destroyed by the damage and police continue to search for a suspect. The Hastings Police Department is continuing to investigate.
