OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Ossining Public Library's Documentary and Discussion Series will continue with the November screening of "Ivory Tower," a film examining the cost -- and value -- of higher education.
The free film will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 at the library's Budarz Theatre.
The documentary, by filmmaker Andrew Rossi, examines soaring college tuition rates, student loan debt and the business models that colleges are using to meet modern educational challenges.
Panelists at the event include Ossining High School assistant principal Lorraine Longing. SUNY New Paltz assistant professor of political science and international relations Stephen Pampinella and New York Public Interest Group's higher education campaign organizer Tiffany Brown.
