Bowermaster's films show that while the Hudson River is, because of the work of some environmental groups, much cleaner than it had been, it is still in danger of substantial harm. He focuses on three hazards: "bomb trains" that carry highly explosive mixtures of crude oil and gas, the nuclear power plant at Indian Point and the rebuilding of the Tappan Zee Bridge.

The film will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Budarz Theater.

Following the film, a panel, including the filmmaker, will discuss the hazards to the Hudson and the efforts to keep it clean. Panelists include state Sen. David Carlucci, Riverkeeper President Paul Gallay; Hudson Sloop Clearwater's Environmental Action Director Manna Jo Greene and Scenic Hudson's conservation scientist Sacha Spector.
