OSSINING, N.Y. – The Ossining Public Library is offering various events for adults and children to keep residents busy during the fall.
October art exhibits include:
- Main Gallery: “The World before My Eyes” travel photo exhibit by local photographer Guillermo Rodriguez. The opening reception will be Saturday, Oct. 10. from 1-3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
- Hallway Gallery: Travel Photo Exhibit by photographer Norma Pitelli, Friday, Oct. 2, at noon.
Sunday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. will bring the Nadia Reisenberg Young Artists Series.
This is the first concert in a series of three concerts of young pianists. The first concert will feature the piano duo of Esther and Sun-A Park. They will perform solos as well as one-piano, four-hands pieces. The free concert will be held in the Budarz Theater.
On Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. there will be a historical presentation on Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
There’s no better way to get in the Halloween spirit than with a virtual tour through Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Washington Irving, author of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” is among the many well-known people buried there. Hear some of the stories behind the stones of the 166-year-old cemetery and learn more about its art, architecture and symbolism during this one-hour presentation. All are welcome to attend the free event in the Budarz Theater.
The annual Friends Fall Book Sale will be held Oct. 14-18.
