The program is open to all Ossining residents ages 16 and older who have an interest in law enforcement.
The academy will help students learn about the police function in Ossining and will expose them to various aspects of law enforcement through hands-on basic training.
"We are excited to work with the community and share the passion that we have for our profession," officer Drew Maiorana said in a statement. "Through this program the community has the opportunity to learn more about what we do and, in turn, we get the chance to learn more about the needs and expectations of our neighbors."
All instructors are Ossining police officers. This is a free program with limited spaces available.
