“War on Whistleblowers,” directed by acclaimed documentarian Robert Greenwald, outlines the challenges and sacrifices faced by four activists, and calls attention to their increasing importance in a society where the powerful are more omniscient and unregulated than ever before.

There will be a discussion with panelists Esha Bhandari, Hezi Aris and Don DeBar following the screening.

Bhandari is a staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union’s speech, privacy and technology project. Bhandari was previously an equal justice works fellow with the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project, where she was involved in litigating cases concerning a right to counsel in immigration proceedings, detainer policies, and discriminatory state and local laws. She has also been a staff attorney at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she worked on two trials challenging a Texas law limiting women’s access to reproductive health care. She is a graduate of McGill University, the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Columbia Law School, and served as a law clerk to Judge Amalya L. Kearse of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.

Aris is the Yonkers Tribune publisher and editor, and radio host of "Westchester On the Level." Aris believes that politics, in all its permutations and nuance are the forte of the acid-tongued bloggers of the Yonkers Tribune.

DeBar is a radio journalist and has covered the issue of retaliation against whistleblowers for many years. He has been featured in international media such as RT (a Russia-based TV Network) and PressTV (an Iranian-based TV Network), along with whistleblowers including retired CIA officer Ray McGovern.
