Ossining Concert Raises Funds For Maryknoll Sisters

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Maryknoll Sisters will present “Music for the World,” their 10th annual benefit concert, at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Maryknoll Sisters Center, 10 Pinesbridge Road, Ossining.

All donations and proceeds from ticket sales, which cost $25, will help support the sisters' global mission work aiding the poor. 

The Hudson Valley Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of James D. Wayne, will perform "Fantasies on a Theme" by Haydn; "Lauds" (“Praise High Day”) by Nelson; "Three Contrasts" by Smith; "Alleluia" by Thompson-Watts, among other works. The 45-member wind ensemble performs annual full-length concerts to benefit charitable organizations. 

Tickets can be ordered on the Maryknoll website, by calling 866-662-9900 or at the door the afternoon of the event. Credit cards, cash or check will be accepted.
