Valhalla Board of Education Set to Meet Tuesday

VALHALLA, N.Y. – The Valhalla Union Free School District Board of Education is scheduled to have a work session at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Valhalla District Office.

At last week’s meeting, four school officials offered budget presentations. School building official Christina Howe detailed the transportation budget, head of the buildings and grounds department Peter Kelly discussed his department’s budget, Middle School principal Steven Garcia and High School principal Jonathon Thomas presented their school's respective budgets.

The board also approved the refund of school taxes totaling $55,559 for the years 2008-2012 affecting the home at 1503 Old Orchard St., White Plains.

The board also rewarded a grant of $23,250 to 3D Commercial Services, Hawthorne, for the concrete stair and rail replacement at the Middle/High School.
