OSSINING, N.Y – The Maryknoll Sisters held their annual International Bazaar in October at the Maryknoll Sisters Center.
The fundraiser featured hand crafts from the sisters’ mission sites including Asia, Africa, and Central and South America.
The annual bazaar helps support the Sisters’ humanitarian efforts around the world. The Sisters also encouraged participants to get Christmas shopping done early by attending the event. The event featured book signings by several Maryknoll Sisters who have authored books in recent years.
The MaryKnoll Sisters Center is on 100 Ryder Road., Ossining. Founded in 1912, Maryknoll Sisters is the first U.S.-based congregation of religious women dedicated to foreign missions, according to a press release. Working primarily among the poor in 22 countries around the world, they now number 458 members from the U.S. and overseas.
