Von Kamp will offer these acting workshops at Croton's Cortlandt School of Performing Arts.

"After working very hard at a lifelong dream and career journey, it's refreshing to come home to a familiar place with hometown spirit and big heart," Von Kamp said.

"We are so lucky to have Ariane share what she has experienced in L.A. and in N.Y.C. as a professional performer and instructor," said CSPA owner Carol Arrucci. "She is the real deal."

Von Kamp grew up in Chappaqua. She graduated from Horace Greeley High School and SUNY Albany. She is co-founder of Theatre ARK in Manhattan, with James Kloiber of the Actor's Studio.

Von Kamp had studied at the Actors Studio in N.Y.C. -- with mentors included Mitzi Shore of the Comedy Shore, Charlie Laughton, Elizabeth Kemp and Martin Landau -- then the Yale School of Drama in London and the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, WGA and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Von Kamp has appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," in "Anchorman" with Will Ferrell and in the comedy series "Strip Mall," among other roles. Most recently, she appeared in NBC's "Maya & Marty," with Maya Rudolf and Martin Short.

She has produced and performed comedy in L.A. at the Improv, the Comedy Store, Stand-Up and Ha-Ha Café. She has also held improv workshops and taught comedy to kids.

Von Kamp's first classes in Westchester will take place on four consecutive Sundays, beginning Aug. 7, from 2-5 p.m. The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts is located at 24 Old Albany Post Rd., in Croton-on-Hudson. This workshop, to train young actors to perform and create commercials, is for grades 5-12.

The classes are limited to 16.

She will soon follow up with several classes for adults and eventually all ages. Click here for more info, or call 914-402-4250 to register.
