Grove Street Closing For Reconstruction Of Train Crossing In New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A complete road closure of Grove Street at the railroad/highway at-grade crossing on the New Canaan branch of the Metro-North rail will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31 and will remain closed until approximately 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.

The work is necessary to upgrade the grade crossing and will be performed by Metro-North Commuter Railroad Company.

On Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2, there will be no train service between New Canaan and Stamford. Metro-North Commuter Railroad will be providing bus service during these times. Click here for the schedule.

Train service is expected to resume on schedule Monday, Aug. 3.
