HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A village like Hastings has plenty of rich history to go along with all the local entertainment and events of today, so there are bound to be videos depicting both past and present activities. Take a look below at some local YouTube videos that touch on the village years ago and some that feature some of the local music and entertainment today.
This video is titled "The Draper Estate in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY" and is hosted by Francis J. O'Reilly as he takes a look at the estate of Henry Draper, the son of Jon Draper who was the first man to photograph the moon.
This video was uploaded by user greenaire and is a trailer for a DVD he was making using home footage from his father in the mid 1950's in Hastings.
The band Solar Punch is featured in this video from jamesdeanconk as they play at the Hastings Farmers Market. The video's description says the song being performed is "Yuni Chala Chal' from the movie "Swades." The video's official description offers a little bit more background on the clip.
