NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - New Rochelle, did you know the Leonard Seacord House is one of the city's many historic houses on North Avenue?
The Seacord Family Homestead and Farm sits on what is now North Avenue, near Seacord Road.
The property was built around the 1700's and the ground was awarded a New Rochelle Heritage Award a few centuries later in about 2008.
Seacord was born in New Rochelle on March 27, 1803. He died there October 27, 1881.
